29th anniversary of Swaralaya School of Music on May 12

Mysuru:  The 29th Anniversary of Swaralaya School of  Music located at Ramakrishnanagar in city will be held on May 12 (Sunday) at Ganabharathi’s Veene Seshanna Bhavana on Adichunchanagiri Road under the auspices of  Department of Kannada and Culture, Bengaluru.

Rajendra Prasad Honnalagere, Lecturer in Kannada, Sarada Vilas College, will be inaugurating the programme at 10 am.  President of Swaralaya School of Music Vidhushi Suma Harinath will preside over the function. Geetha Seetharam, Director of Geethanjali School of Fine Arts, will be the chief guest.

Journalist  S.S. Srilakshmi,  Flutist Vidwan A.V. Dattathreya, social activist  C.V. Srinivasa Rao and senior journalist H.K.Nagesh  will be the special invitees. Freelance journalist G.P. Harish, Vidushi Dharithri Ananda Rao, Seethalakshmi Ashok,  Akhila Guruprakash and Vibhuda Rajendra will be felicitated at the event.

A book containing songs of Lord Krishna penned by Vidushi Revathi Srikanth will be released on the occasion; followed by a classical  music concert titled “Ragadinda Roga Mukti” by Adhitya V. Bhargav and troupe.

Musical programme by Vibhuda and troupe will be held at the valedictory function to be held in the evening followed by  light music concert by H.P. Vinayakumar Bhat and group. A stage play “Halliya Sogadu” by Shreyas Koundinya will also be staged, according to a press release from Suma Harinath, Director, Swaralaya School of Music.
