3 arrested for murder and throwing body into quarry pond

Mysuru Rural Police have arrested three persons on charges of killing a person and throwing his body into a pond located in a quarry near Doddakanya village near here.

The arrested have been identified as Goutam, a resident of Muneshwara Block in the taluk, Rajesh and Murthy, residents of JP Nagar in city, while the victim has been identified as Vaishak, a resident of Parasaiahana Hundi.

It is reported that an accident took place between Vaishak and Goutam who were riding bikes and Vaishak had threatened of killing Goutam, which he (Goutam) came to know through his friends.

On Mar. 16, Goutam along with his friends Rajesh and Murthy, took Vaishak in a car, tied his legs and hands, assaulted him with lethal weapons and killed him. They then threw the body into a pond at a quarry near Doddakanya village.

The incident had come to light after the body began to float after two days. A case was registered at Mysuru Rural Police Station in this regard.

Following instructions from SP Ravi D. Channannavar, Circle Inspector Gopalakrishna, Sub- Inspector D.J. Jayaprakash and staff who took up the investigation were successful in nabbing the killers and thus solving the murder case.
