Mysuru: JSS Polytechnic for the Differently Abled, JSS Technical Institutions Campus, Mysuru, in association with Karnataka State Wheelchair Basketball Association, Bengaluru, has organised ‘3-on-3 State-level Wheelchair Basketball Tournament’ at SJCE Sports Complex tomorrow (Mar.10).
The Tourney will be inaugurated at 9.30 am. H.M. Bhandavya, International Basketball Player, K. Ashok Kumar, Chief Operating Officer, Adwit Global, Bengaluru and Lee Roy Simon, President, Karnataka State Wheelchair Basketball Association, Bengaluru, will be the chief guests. Dr. C. Ranganathaiah, Director (A&A), Technical Education Division, JSS Mahavidyapeetha (MVP), Mysuru, will preside over the inaugural.
Valedictory will be held at 6 pm. Pratap Simha, MP and B.S. Girish, Basketball Coach, Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports, Mysuru, will be the chief guests. B.R. Umakant, Joint Director (Projects), Office of the Director (T), JSS MVP, Mysuru, will preside.
Each team consisting of three players and about 30 teams (120 wheelchair players) from various districts of Karnataka including Bengaluru, Mysuru, Belagavi, Davanagere, Ballari, Bagalkote, Mandya, Haveri, etc. will participate in the Tourney.
