30 Police Help Desks opened; To guide tourists from 9 am to 10 pm

Mysuru: Chief Minister Siddharamaiah inaugurated the Police Help Desk set up by the Police Department atop Chamundi Hill here this morning.

Apart from Chamundi Hill, the Police have set up 30 Help Desk kiosks at the Check-post on Bengaluru-Mysuru Highway, Millennium Circle (LIC Circle), Railway Station Circle, Railway Station West Gate, Check-post on Hunsur Road, B.M. Habitat Mall, Kalamandira, Check-post on KRS Road, Balarama Gate, Varaha Gate, Jayamarthanda Gate, K.R. Circle, St. Philomena’s Church, Rural Bus Stand, Gandhi Square, Mysore Zoo, Dasara Expo Main Entrance and East Entrance, Flower Show Entrance (near Siddartha Hotel), Karanji Lake Gate, Mall of Mysore, Food Mela venue at MUDA Grounds in Alanahalli near Lalitha Mahal Hotel, Suttur Mutt Circle, Ekalvya Circle, Food Mela venue at Scouts and Guides Grounds,  Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Ashrama, Check-post on Nanjangud Road, Vivekananda Circle and near Mysore Airport in Mandakalli. All the Help Desk would function from Sept. 21 to Sept. 30 between 9 am and 10 pm. Each Help Desk comprises a Police personnel and a Tourist Friend deputed by the Tourism Department, who will  help the tourists and public to know about Dasara programmes, one-way traffic rules, parking spaces, security system and other information besides guiding the public to lodge complaints at the jurisdictional Police Stations.

The personnel at the Help Desk Kiosk will also distribute information booklets printed by the Police Department and handbills containing the DOs and DON’Ts to be followed by the public during Dasara.
