Mysore/Mysuru: COVID-19 positive cases in Karnataka crossed the 40,000 mark yesterday as the State reported 2,738 fresh cases and new 73 COVID deaths.
Mandya: Mandya Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dr. M.V. Venkatesh has stated that there would be no lockdown in Mandya. The DC disclosed this soon after Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa’s video-conference with all DCs of the State.
Meanwhile, Mandya saw 30 COVID positive cases yesterday, taking the total number of positive cases to 718. Out of the total 718 cases, 505 patients have been discharged with 213 active cases remaining in the district, according to the media bulletin by the DC.
The DC has urged the public to maintain social distancing while shopping, wear face masks and take all necessary precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Kodagu: Kodagu saw 15 fresh positive cases yesterday taking the total number of positive cases to 184 out of which 68 patients have been discharged with 113 active cases remaining.
A total of three COVID patients have died and 77 containment zones have been announced by DC Annies Kanmani Joy.
Chamarajanagar: Chamarajanagar yesterday witnessed 14 fresh COVID positive cases, which included a member of Gundlupet Town Municipal Council and a three-year-old child taking the number of positive cases to 187 and one death. 16 patients were discharged yesterday. The death toll has gone up to two. Out of 187 patients, 93 of them have been discharged so far and 92 active cases are remaining. Out of 14 fresh cases, 11 cases were from Gundlupet taluk and three from Kollegal taluk.
