Mysore/Mysuru: The second day of competitions on Feb. 17 at the 38th All India Postal Cultural Meet, currently being held in Mysuru, witnessed remarkable performances.
By securing 11 first prizes, 13 second prizes and 2 third prizes, the Karnataka Postal Circle claimed the first position. The Kerala Postal Circle secured the second position with 14 first prizes, 4 second prizes and 1 third prize. The Odisha Postal Circle maintained the third position by winning a total of 9 prizes.
From the Karnataka Postal Circle, S. Charmi won first prize in Junior Category – Karnataka Style Folk Singing and second prize in Odissi dance. Pallavi L. Kodiya secured first prize in Senior Category – Karnataka Style Folk Singing and third prize in Hindustani Style Folk Singing.
Shambhavi Degavi Math won first prize in Junior Category – Hindustani Style Folk Singing. C.G. Pradyumna Kaushik secured first prize in Senior Category – Hindustani Style Violin. Sparsha won first prize in Senior Category – Bharatanatyam. Shrushti secured second prize in Junior Category – Sattriya dance and D.M. Punyashree won second prize in Junior Category – Mohiniyattam. Several others also won prizes in various categories.
From the Kerala Postal Circle, K.S. Niranjana won first prize in Junior Category – Bharatanatyam. Durgaram secured first prize in Senior Category – Mohiniyattam. Gautham Ganesh won first prize in Senior Category – Kathakali dance.
N. Nayana Vasudev secured second prize in Senior Category – Karnataka Style Folk Singing and K.N. Sivanandan won second prize in Junior Category – Karnataka Style Folk Singing.
From the Odisha Postal Circle, Banashree Patnaik won second prize in Senior Category – Karnataka Style Folk Singing. Lakshman Das received a special prize. Aman Kumar Das secured first prize in Junior Category – Tabla and also won a prize in the Senior Category.
This 5-day cultural event, organised by the Karnataka Postal Circle, has brought together 335 Postal employees from 21 Postal Circles across India.
The event serves as an important platform for cultural exchange and the strengthening of national integration among postal employees.
