Mysuru lad IM Girish A. Koushik, won his last round tie against IM Viani Antonio Dchuna (KAR) and with 8.5 points from nine rounds he clinched the 3rd Rail Wheel Factory International Open FIDE Rating Chess Tournament title in Bengaluru recently.
With this performance, Girish (Rating 2401) has added 11.1 ELO points. IM B.T. Murali Krishnan (TN) with 8 points secured the second place followed by GM R.R. Laxman of ICF, Chennai with 7.5 points.
