5-day Creative Crunch Expo begins in city

Mysuru: The five-day creative exhibition — ‘Grand Exhibition Creative Crunch 2017’ — organised by Arena Animation to mark its 7th anniversary celebrations, began at its premises in T.K. Layout yesterday. The expo was inaugurated by CAVA Dean Basavaraj Musavalgi.

On the very first entry to the exhibition, the Digital Tonga caught the attention of the guests and visitors. The Tonga is made using Plaster of Paris and electronic waste such as keyboard keys, tape reels and others. It was made by a student named Sanju under the guidance of faculty Siddesh.

Soumya Shenoy, one of the students of the Institute, has put on display her paintings of Old Mysore Palace and Dasara Dolls. There are also Digital Illustrations based on current affairs made by using software that covered relevant issues like de-monetisation, farmer suicides, smoking etc.

Speaking to Star of Mysore, Basavaraj Musavalgi said that the skill and idea inherited in students holds good importance and added that the students should explore their talents with every rising opportunity.

He also called upon students to enhance their knowledge regarding the skill, get a proper analysis of idea with time sense, put in effort and develop curiosity for improvisation to succeed.
