Bengaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Monday announced that at least 600 Indira Canteens will be opened in the State before the announcement of Lok Sabha election.
Speaking to media persons after inaugurating two Indira Canteens in the premises of Kempegowda International Airport Limited (KIAL), the CM said: “Everybody will be provided breakfast at Rs. 5 and meals at Rs. 10 at the canteen. The canteens at Airport premises were opened following a demand from cab drivers and other drivers. A total of 188 new Indira Canteens will be opened in Bengaluru and the works on 40 canteens among the total planned, have been completed.”
