6,000 BJP activists to take part in Modi’s rally from Ch’nagar

Chamarajanagar: District BJP President Prof. K.R. Mallikarjunappa informed that as many as 6,000 party activists from Ch’nagar will take part in PM Modi’s rally scheduled this evening at Maharaja’s College Grounds in Mysuru.

Addressing media here yesterday, he said that the Prime Minister will address a large gathering of party workers at Tuesday’s meeting seeking votes in favour of party candidates contesting in LS polls scheduled on Apr.18 in the State including Chamarajanagar, Mysuru, Hassan and Mandya.

BSY to visit Ch’nagar on Apr.11

Stating that no other star campaigner other than State Chief B.S. Yeddyurappa (BSY) would visit the district to seek votes for party candidate in LS polls, Prof. Mallikarjunappa said that BSY will conduct the meeting and campaign in Chamarajanagar on Apr.11. However, the venue of the meeting is not yet fixed.

Exuding confidence that BJP candidate V. Sreenivasa Prasad would win with a record margin of 1.5 lakh votes, he said that youths are attracted to party day by day due to its popularity and the party will win 22 seats in this Polls with ‘Modi Wave’ and youth support.

“The party candidate was defeated in the previous LS Polls from Ch’nagar due to infighting among BJP leaders. However, the party candidate contesting this year’s Polls is a veteran, has represented the Parliament five times and is experienced. Hence, party will win for sure,” he added.

District BJP Secretary Noorondu Shetty, Taluk Unit President Sundarappa, City Unit President Sundar Raj and Convener S. Balasubramanya were present.
