Bengaluru, Oct. 11 (KMS& DM)- Giving a go by to the practise of inviting applications for Kannada Rajyotsava award, the State Government has constituted a 64-member Committee of experts from different fields to select 70 achievers for the prestigious Rajyotsava Award given annually on Nov. 1 .

The Committee will be headed by Kannada and Culture Minister Shivaraj Tangadagi and comprises of personalities from different fields.

The Committee Members include actors V. Ravichandran and Girija Lokesh, noted environmentalist Dr. Yellappa Reddy, farmer leader Sunanda Jayaram, writers Dr. Malathi Pattanshetti, Prof. G. Abdul Basheer, H.K. Subbu Holeyar and Dr. Appagere Thimmaraju, theatre personality Srinivas G. Kappanna, Dr. Thulasi Ramachandra, N.R. Vishukumar, former State Advocate General Prof. Ravivarma Kumar and  Gujjarappa, among others.
