Mysore/Mysuru: Following are the winners of Photography and Painting Competitions held on account of 69th Wildlife Week celebrations and ‘Unite for Big Cats Campaign’ by Mysuru Zoo:
Photography Competition
‘In situ’ Category: 1st prize – T.P. Varadanayaka; 2nd prize – B.N. Umashankar; 3rd prize – B. Shivakumar; Certificates of Merit – H.R. Shashank, S.R. Madhusudhan, Chirag Raj and Sagar Suresh.
‘Ex situ’ Category: 1st prize – B. Umesh; 2nd prize – M.S .Basavanna; 3rd prize – M.R. Roopesh; Certificates of Merit – V. Giridhara, G.S. Ravishankar, S.R. Madhusudhan and C. Vishruth.
Drawing Competition
10th – 12th Std: 1st prize – B. Tejaswini; 2nd prize – J. Renu; 3rd prize – M.R. Kumar Nayaka.
7th to 9th Std: 1st prize – Shreyas Aniket Joshi; 2nd prize – K. Deeksha; 3rd prize – Shrishti Ponnappa Alemeda.
5th to 6th Std: 1st prize – Patralika Mahata; 2nd prize – Kshiti S. Patil; 3rd prize – Mohammad Fayaz Ansari.
Judges Dr. H.V. Santhrupth and Yashanarayan assisted the Zoo in selecting winners of the Photography and Painting Competitions. The prizes will be distributed on Oct. 8 during the valedictory function of the Wildlife Week celebrations, according to a press release.
