A day with differently-abled kids

Mysuru/Mysore: Students of Bhavan’s Priyamvada Birla Institute Of Management (BPBIM) visited Mathru Mandali Shishu Vikasa Kendra recently and spent time with the differently-abled kids. They prepared artistically designed wax candles, paper bags, greeting cards and jewelleries while singing and dancing with these young ones.

The following day, BPBIM students conducted a Walkathon along with the differently-abled kids from Sri Lakshmi Venkateshwara Temple, Vontikoppal to Mathru Mandali. The walkathon was flagged off by Mohan Kumar, former Chairman, MUDA. 

N. Ramanuja, Chairman, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan (BVB), Bengaluru; Dr. A.V. Narasimhamurthy, Resident Director BPBIM; Dr. A.T. Bhashyam, Director, BPBIM; Vijaya Urs, President, Mathru Mandali and Vani, Secretary, Mathru Mandali. were also present. The walkathon was followed by a street play to bring awareness about road safety amongst the public.

An exhibition-cum-sale of the products prepared by the kids was also held. The proceeds from the sale were used for welfare of the differently-abled kids.
