Mysore/Mysuru: Mysuru is set to be enthralled by the resonant strains of Karnatak music as BSS Vidyodaya and Raaga Music Academy present Bhagini Raga Saurabha’s grand vocal concert by Vidu. Archana Koviladi tomorrow (Sept. 20) from 6 pm onwards, at BSS Vidyodaya, Krishnamurthypuram in city.
Vidu. Archana will be accompanied by Vidu. Aditi Krishnaprakash on violin, Vid. G. S. Ramanujam on mridanga and Vid. Sharath Kaushik on ghata.
Vidu. Archana Koviladi, hailing from a family of musicians, was initiated into Karnatak classical music at a young age by her grandfather, Haridasa Sangeeta Gana Ratna Koviladi K. Rangarajan, a celebrated musician of Srirangam.
For the past 27 years, she has been under the tutelage of her mother, Kala Deepti Koviladi R. Kala, a renowned artiste and music guru in Mysuru.
An A-Graded artiste of All India Radio in both Karnatak Vocal and Karnatak Devotional categories, Vidu. Archana has presented numerous concerts across prestigious sabhas including Shanmukhananda Sabha (Mumbai), Bangalore Gayana Samaja, Arkay Convention Centre (Chennai), Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha (Mysuru), National Programme of Music by Akashavani and Nadaneerajanam, Tirupati.
