Bengaluru: Hunsur MLA and senior leader of the party A.H. Vishwanath is most likely to become State JD(S) President with the JD(S) top brass, almost finalising Vishwanath’s name for the top post, an official announcement on his appointment is likely to be made tomorrow (Aug 4), according to sources.
JD(S) Supremo and former PM H.D. Deve Gowda is said to have held talks with Vishwanath in this regard a couple of days ago.
Meanwhile, Vishwanath speaking to SOM has said that JD(S) Supremo H.D. Deve Gowda had called him a couple of times and asked him (Vishwanath) to become the State Party Chief.
“ I will be glad to become the State JD(S) President if I am appointed to the post,” he said.
