Mysore/Mysuru: Purna Chetana School has taken a unique initiative to reconnect children and parents with Mysuru’s cultural legacy by organising the ‘Mysuru Heritage Treasure Hunt’ for the first time.
School children will also present Mysuru’s first-ever Heritage Flash Mob, celebrating the city’s culture and traditions through creative expression. The initiative aims to instil cultural awareness among children while strengthening the bond between parents and their children through shared learning and exploration.
Designed for children below 16 years, along with their parents, the Heritage Treasure Hunt will be held on Dec. 21. Participants are required to report at 7 am at Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple, Palace North Gate, which will serve as both the starting and concluding point of the event.
Each participating team will be provided with a specially designed Treasure Kit containing 10 clues at the start of the event. Teams will travel across Mysuru’s prominent historical and heritage locations, solving clues and completing the challenge.
Speaking about the initiative, School CEO Darshan Raj said, “Objective of this event is to help children understand Mysuru’s heritage through experience-based learning and providing parents an opportunity to spend quality time with their children.”
Winners of the competition will receive cash prizes of Rs. 10,000, Rs. 7,500 and Rs. 5,000, along with trophies, while participation certificates will given to all. For registration, call: 72048-36513.
