A regular EMU train needed between Bengaluru – Mysuru

Sir,

There are lakhs of passengers travelling on Mysuru – Bengaluru route and since the route is now 100% electrified, I would like to request the Railway authorities to start an Electric Multiple Unit or EMU service on the above said route. At present, the people are forced to travel in Express trains in crowded general coaches. Also the frequency is less.

The Chennai EMU is a good model to emulate where EMU services are extensively used to transport lakhs of passengers apart from the Metro Rail. The services are not only within the city but extends to suburban places all around the city.

I would strongly recommend the introduction of such a successful EMU model to cities like Bengaluru and Mysuru.

The interesting fact of the Chennai EMU train model is that it extends even to neighbouring States like Andhra Pradesh. Since all people can sit and travel conveniently in an EMU train, it will be a boon to passengers who travel daily for work between the two cities.

Hence, I request the authorities concerned on behalf of hundreds of people to look into the prospect of an EMU train model between the two cities.
