Pramati Lumina 2026
Mysuru: Pramati Hillview Academy, Kuvempunagar, hosted ‘Pramati Lumina – 2026’, a grand inter-school English fest, bringing together around 250 enthusiastic students from 15 schools across the city.
The day-long event featured an array of competitive activities aimed at fostering linguistic skills, creativity and literary appreciation among young learners.
The fest offered a dynamic platform for students to demonstrate their talent across diverse categories, including script masters, cursive writing, storytelling, puppet show, English group singing, spell-bee and podcast competitions.
The event was formally inaugurated by the chief guest, Shubha Sanjay Urs, Founder and Director of the Mysuru Literature Festival. Addressing the gathering of students, educators and guests, Urs emphasised the indispensable role of English in modern education.
“Language is a tool for learning and English serves as a window to view the world. When students learn English and look at the world, they can achieve greater success,” Urs stated.
“Reading should become a habit; reading and writing are valuable assets that stay with you forever. Today, learning English is not a luxury — it is a necessity.”
Following a series of spirited and closely contested events, Christ Public School and Pramati Hillview Academy emerged as the top performers, securing the maximum number of awards across categories and bagged the prestigious Champions Rolling Trophy.
The event was attended by the key management and administrative figures, including H.V. Rajeev, Secretary, S. Phaniraj, Treasurer of Pramati Educational Institution; C.S.
