Deputy Commissioner D. Randeep has in a press release asked all beneficiaries who are getting pension under various social security schemes to get their Aadhaar number linked with their Bank or post office accounts.
The DC said that Aadhaar seeding was mandatory as per the Union Government’s DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) initiative. The beneficiaries should submit their Aadhaar card numbers to their jurisdictional revenue officers before Feb.28, failing which the DBT will be stopped, the release added.
