AAP opposes naming of KRS Road after CM Siddaramaiah

December 30, 2024

Mysuru: Even as the debate continues over naming of Princess Road (popularly known as KRS Road) as ‘Siddaramaiah Arogya Marga,’ the Aam Admi Party (AAP) has opposed the naming of the road after Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

In a press release, AAP Mysuru District President R. Rangaiah said that CM Siddaramaiah has been named as an accused in the mega MUDA site scam. But it seems the elected representatives of the Congress and officials are in a hurry to re-name the KRS Road as ‘Siddaramaiah Arogya Marga’ which is not correct.

Arguing that this road is already named as Princess Road but has become popular as KRS Road, he said though it is a matter of pride that Siddaramaiah is from Mysuru, it is better to name a newly constructed  road or a flyover after him and not this stretch.
