AAP opposes proposed Heli Tourism project

April 4, 2021

Mysore/Mysuru: Though tourism development is a need of the hour, it should not be at the expense of environment and by ecological destruction.

“The Lalitha Mahal Palace grounds houses hundreds of fruit and flower-bearing trees and is home to innumerable birds and urban wildlife. It is also part of the ever dwindling lung space for Mysureans,” said Malavika Gubbivani, District Convener of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Mysuru, in a press release. “Several NGOs and Environmentalists have already objected to this project. If the project is not shelved or shifted to another suitable location immediately, Mysureans will be forced to approach the National Green Tribunal (NGT) for a stay,” said Malavika Gubbivani.
