Mysuru: Aashianaa, an institute for special children, recently celebrated its annual day at Sri Kanteerava Narasimharaja Sports Club in the city.
Dr. S.N. Mothi, Consultant Paediatrician and Founder-Trustee of Asha Kirana Hospital, was the chief guest. K.S. Raghavendra, District Disabled Welfare Officer, Mysuru, was the guest of honour.
The event began with the presentation of annual report, highlighting the institute’s achievements and progress.
The children delighted the audience with a variety of cultural performances, including a Kannada folk dance, yoga display, “Dance of Pure Joy” and performance of a musical band.
The grand finale, titled “Future is Female,” created awareness about the importance of empowering and educating the girl child.
Gifts were distributed to all children and certificates were awarded in recognition of their achievements. Trustees of Aashianaa, Masuma Vagh, Siraj Asgarali, D. Vishwanath, S. Loknath, T. Sriram Bhagavat, Murtaza J. A. Ali and Abhilash Nair along with staff, special invitees, families and the children were present.
