Absconding accused arrested

Was involved in extortion & burglary cases

Mysuru:  An accused, who was involved in two extortion and two burglary cases in 2015 and 2016 and had gone absconding, has been arrested on Mar. 19 by Lakshmipuram Police.

The arrested is 23-year-old Salman of Rajivnagar in city. He was arrested near Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple near Mysore Palace and was produced before a Court, which remanded him to judicial custody.

Accused Salman, along with others were involved in the above cases and the Police had arrested two of them and had submitted a charge-sheet against them to the Court.

As Salman had gone absconding, the Court had issued an Arrest Warrant against him.

DCP M. Muthuraj and K.R. ACP Gopalakrishna T. Nayak supervised Lakshmipuram Inspector H. Hariyappa, ASI Gowrishankar, and staff in the nabbing operation.
