Treasurer of Vidyavardhaka Sangha, Dr. B. Sadashive Gowda, Principal of VVCE and Nagesh Puttaswamy, Technical Consultant, SK Super TMT Steel, Bengaluru, will be the guests of honour.

Initiated in 2013 as “Design Safe” for M. Following four successful editions, CATALYST-2026 involves different colleges across Mysuru, Mandya, Kodagu and Chamarajanagar districts.

The preliminary written round took place simultaneously on Oct. 23, across 16 colleges (17 Departments), featuring 234 teams (468 students). From this pool, 111 teams (222 students) advanced to the finals.

Top eight performing teams from the final written test will advance to the oral quiz on Oct. 28. Winners, runners-up and the audience will be rewarded with cash prizes, Cup and participation certificates, said CATALIST 2026 Chairman Dr. G.S. Suresh.

Dr. G.S. Suresh — former Chairman of ACCE (I), Mysuru and former Dean and Professor of Civil Engineering at NIE — has been conceiving a series of fresh, challenging questions each year to bring out the very best in every participant. He is being ably supported by the HOD’s of participating colleges, coordinators and the members of the Organising Committee.
