Accident-prone road in Saraswathipuram needs attention

Sir,

An accident occurred today afternoon when two-wheelers each driven by young girls crashed at the junction — one approaching on the 2nd Cross and another from 12th Main of Saraswathipuram. This junction is just opposite to my house. Fortunately, it was not a fatal accident.

While one girl did not sustain any injury, the other girl was injured in the hand and the chin. One of the girls was not wearing any helmet. Several accidents have happened at the junction and I have rendered first-aid and today since my neighbour who is a doctor was in the house, he attended to the injured girl.

I have complained about this accident-prone road to the authorities concerned several times and even requested the engineer and contractor when the roads were being repaired. Unfortunately nobody has taken it seriously. Hence, I request the MCC Commissioner to personally look into this matter and see that besides providing speed-breakers, warning signals are installed as I find this particular junction appears to be very vulnerable for accidents.
