Accident victim succumbs to injuries at hospital

Harshith (18), son of Ravi Kumar, a X-Ray Technician at K.R. Hospital and a resident of Gejjagalli village in the taluk, who was admitted to a private hospital in city following serious head injuries after he rammed the car into a parked lorry near Madashettypura Gate on T. Narasipur Ring Road on Mar. 28 at about 12.30 pm, succumbed to injuries in the hospital at about 4 pm on the same day.

Another occupant of the car identified as Nithya, daughter of Mutthunayaka, who was also seriously injured is undergoing treatment at the hospital.

It may be recalled that Harshith who was driving along with Nithya in a Maruti Swift car (KA 09 MD 3664) on Alanahalli Ring Road towards Nanjangud Road, rammed the car from  behind into a lorry which was parked on the roadside near Madashettypura, seriously injuring both of them.

Passersby, who saw the accident, rushed to their help and shifted both of them to a hospital on Mysuru-Bannur Road, where Harshith breathed his last after failing to respond to the treatment, according to Mysuru South Rural Police, who have registered a case.
