Accident victims succumb to injuries

Mysuru: In separate cases, two persons, who had met with accidents and admitted to different hospitals in city, succumbed to injuries at the hospitals yesterday.

In the first incident, an accident victim who had suffered serious injuries on Saturday and admitted to a private hospital in city, passed away yesterday at the hospital. The deceased is Pailwan Pradeep (36), a resident of Adarsh Layout in city. Pradeep, who had gone to a wedding at Srirangapatna, was returning to city on Saturday night, when he met with an accident on the Ring Road near Bharath Cancer Hospital. Pradeep, who suffered serious injuries and was rendered unconscious, was rushed to a private hospital, where he breathed his last yesterday.

The deceased leaves behind his wife Dakshayini, a son and a daughter. Last rites were performed at Vijayanagar Hi-Tech Crematorium this afternoon.

In the second incident, a youth, who was found lying on the road in a pool of blood near Hinkal junction last night and admitted to K.R. Hospital, has succumbed to injuries at the hospital yesterday.

The deceased is Jagadish (23), son of Swamy and a resident of Jettihundi in the taluk.

It is learnt that Jagadish, who was mason by profession, was proceeding on his two-wheeler from Hinkal to Bogadi and was found lying in a pool of blood near Hinkal junction probably after being hit by some unidentified vehicle. V.V. Puram Traffic Police, who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar and shifted the injured Jagadish to K.R. Hospital, where he succumbed to injuries later. The Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are checking the footages of CCTV cameras installed nearby and are investigating.
