Mysuru: K.R. Police have arrested a person on charges of murdering a youth at the foot of Chamundi Hill. The arrested has been identified as 27-year-old Siddaraju, a resident of Ashokapuram in city.

Siddaraju had murdered one Prabhu on Saturday and had gone absconding. Siddaraju and Prabhu, as part of Purnima, had been to a temple at the foot of Chamundi Hill. While returning, Siddaraju is said to have abused one Suri alias Chatpat using foul language which had irked Prabhu, who slapped Siddaraju. This resulted in Siddaraju murdering Prabhu by stabbing him. Accused Siddaraju is said to have confessed to the crime during interrogation.

K.R. Police have registered a case in this regard.
