Achievers of Mysore Medical College Alumni Association

Mysore/Mysuru: The following are the members of Mysore Medical College Alumni Association (MAA), who have excelled in various fields besides winning awards and accolades.

Dr. M.A. Shekar: A retired Professor and Head of Karnataka Institute of Endocrinology and Research Institute, Bengaluru and also the Head of the Endocrinology Department at Mysore Medical College and Research Institute, Mysuru, Dr. M.A. Shekar was recently presented with ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ at the KRSSDI’s 16th annual conference recently.

Dr. Puttasiddaiah: A retired Government Doctor, Dr. Puttasiddaiah was presented with Kannada Rajyotsava Award this year. Working for providing education of the downtrodden and the backward class, Dr. Puttasiddaiah is also running a residential school for them.

Dr. G. Siddesh: A surgeon at Sigma Hospital in city, Dr. G. Siddesh has been elected as the National Vice-President of Association of Surgeons of India (ASI) at the election held recently.

Dr. S. Chandrashekar: An Assistant Professor and Head, Department of Surgery at Mysore Medical College and Research Institute, Dr. S. Chandrashekar was the former Resident Medical Officer (RMO) and Medical Superintendent of K.R. Hospital. He has been elected as the State Unit Secretary of Association of Surgeons of India (ASI) for a two-year term.

Dr. H.N. Dinesh, Head, Department of Surgery, Mysore Medical College and Research Institute and Dr. Sarvesh Raje Urs, Surgeon at Hunsur General Hospital, have been elected as the Members of the Executive Committee of ASI.
