Mysuru: Deputy Commissioner D. Randeep has written a letter to the City Police Commissioner and DG and IGP to appoint an ACP rank officer to the Mysore Airport.
The flight operations have once again resumed at Mysore Airport and the number of flights is increasing. Even the VVIPs landing and flying out of Mysuru has increased by the day. Hence, for more security, an ACP rank officer has to be posted, said the DC who is also the Chairman of the Airports Authority in the letter. In a meeting held recently at the Mysore Airport chaired by the DC, a decision was taken to increase the security cover to the airport in view of a lot of meetings held at the airport involving high profile company executives and other VIPs.
