‘Adarsha Awards’ presented

 ‘Adarsha Chaitanya Ratna’ Awardees K.S. Nagaraj Bhagavathar and M.C. Shankaranarayana with guests.

Mysuru:  Adarsha Seva Sangha, Mysuru, had organised a function at NIE Diamond Jubilee Sports Complex on Manandavadi Road here recently to confer ‘Adarsha Award’ on achievers from various fields and to present Pratibha Puraskar to meritorious students.

Speaking on the occasion, retired High Court Judge N. Kumar opined that today’s youth should put in a lot of effort to face the competitive world. He expressed happiness that the awardees included centenarians. He commended women in entering and excelling in various sectors.

‘Adarsha Chaitanya Ratna Award’ was conferred on centenarians K.S. Nagaraj Bhagavathar of Mysuru and M.C. Shankaranarayana of H.D. Kote.

The organisers announced that the award would be conferred on centenarians Pt. Sudhakar Chaturvedi and G. Venkatasubbaiah of Bengaluru and Kamalamma Subba Rao of Mysuru at their houses shortly.

‘Adarsha Seva Ratna Award’ was conferred on S. Ramachandra, writer Dr. Kabbinale Vasanth Bharadwaj, Vijaya Sindhuvalli, M.S.K. Narahari Babu, Dr. Anantha Nagendra Bhat, Dr. Pantangi Kamalakara Sharma, G. Raghothama and Nagalakshmi Ramachandra.

‘Adarsha Pratibha Ratna Award’ was conferred on Dr. Shelvapillai Iyengar, Dr. Jyothi Shankar, Dr. Prakash Babu Rao, Dr. L. Vijay, Dr. Hanumanthachar Joshi, R. Rakshita, G. Venkatachala, S. Kanchanasri and Yashwanth Kumar.

‘Adarsha Yuva Pratibha Ratna award’ was conferred on R. Anand Krishna, Dr. Y.S. Rohinisri, Gurudath, Maithri Iyer, V. Anagha, M. Medha, M. Manya, N. Samanvita, Kanchanasri, V. Ambika, Aditya P. Hatwar and Sriram D. Hemmige.

‘Adarsha Bala Pratibha Ratna Award’ was conferred on Abhay Krishna, Amulya R. Bhat, Ananya Bhat, Kavyasri Rao, Bharadwaj, B.K. Chirag, Vadiraj S. Athreya, V. Chandana, B.K. Sneha, H.J. Sadhana, V. Srivatsa and R. Kanchana.

Corporators M.V. Ramprasad, C. Ramesh, Gayatri Chandrashekar, K.G. Anand, Revati Muralidhar, Kaveramma Seshadri, C.S. Govind and others were felicitated on the occasion.

Retired MMC&RI Dean and Director Dr. Geetha Avadhani, Akhila Karnataka Brahmana Mahasabha President K.N. Venkatanarayana, Vice-President R. Lakshmikanth, Sangha President G.R. Nagaraj, Secretary Ramakrishna and others were present during the programme.
