Sir,
I am writing to highlight a persistent issue regarding traffic management at the entrance of the Mysuru City Railway Station, which is causing significant inconvenience to regular commuters. During the early morning hours, coinciding with the arrival of long-distance trains, the entrance becomes severely congested due to the haphazard parking of autorickshaws.
While one understands the drivers’ need to find passengers, their current habit of congregating at the narrow entry point effectively blocks the flow of traffic.
This makes it a stressful ordeal for private vehicles trying to reach the designated parking zones or drop-off points.
It is also observed that there is often a lack of Traffic Police presence during these busy morning windows to guide the flow of vehicles.
The absence of a systematic queue or a regulated entry process leads to avoidable confusion and delays for everyone involved. I request the authorities concerned to look into this matter and perhaps depute a few personnel at the gate to ensure that autorickshaws and private vehicles can coexist without blocking each other.
