Mysuru: Concerned with the health of his personnel, KSRP (Karnataka State Reserve Police) Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Bhaskar Rao has issued a circular recently to maintain discipline in their life.
Lot of attention is being given to the health of the Police officials. Most of the Police seem to have neglected their health and as a result it is showing on their stomach with them having huge paunches and have become the butt of ridicule of the public. Hence, the circular has been issued.
The responsibility of seeing that the paunches of the Police in the 12 KSRP Contingents in the State has been entrusted to the respective Commandments, said the circular.
Some of the KSRP Police are dying young these days due to various reasons. The experts’ reports reveal that the main reason is due to their unhealthy life style and food habits. As a result it has become important to take care of their health. If they are overweight then it becomes difficult to carry out their work.
The ADGP has asked the Commandants to give the details of the weight of each officer and staff. If they weigh more than the permitted limit then they have to control their food habits, do yoga and other exercises to reduce weight.
Otherwise, disciplinary action will be taken against those who refuse to follow the directions, said Bhaskar Rao in the circular.
