Adichunchanagiri Seer leads ‘Kodagige Namma Koduge’ padayatra in Bengaluru

Bengaluru” Adichunchanagiri Mutt had organised a padayatra titled ‘Kodagige Namma Koduge’ in city on Sunday to collect contributions for flood relief works in Kodagu.

The padayatra was led by the Mutt Seer Sri Nirmalanandanatha Swamiji. Former Deputy Chief Minister R. Ashok, MLAs V. Somanna, M. Krishnappa, K. Gopalaiah, former MLA Shivaramegowda and others too participated. The padayatra commenced from the Srikshetra in Vijayanagar and after offering puja at Shanimahatma Temple and traversing through Magadi Road, culminated at Sankashtahara Ganapati Temple with the Swamiji appealing people all through to contribute liberally.

Speaking on the occasion, the Swamiji said that Kodagu, rich in natural beauty, has been devastated in the recent landslides. He asserted that people should collectively put effort to revive Kodagu back to its natural splendour. All through the padayatra, shop keepers, general public and residents contributed substantially for the worthy cause.
