Department for Empowerment of Differently Abled and Senior Citizens has invited applications from visually impaired boys for admission to first to tenth standard at Government School for the Blind, Tilaknagar in city, for the year 2021-22. Apart from academics, children aged between 6 and 10 years will be trained in Daily Living Skills (DLS), Yoga, Meditation, Physical Education, Music, Dance, Drama, Movement Training, Computer Training, Smart Class and Spoken English. Also, food, accommodation, Braille books, school uniform, learning equipment, medical check-up, hot water for bathing (solar water heater) and other facilities will be provided free of cost. Interested parents/ guardians of the students may visit the School in person and get their children admitted. Documents to be carried include Unique Disability (UD) ID Card, Birth Certificate, Caste Certificate, Passport Size Photograph and Aadhaar Card.
