Advocates advised to access e-Library to enhance knowledge

Mysuru: Bar Association must get access to e-Library to update themselves on the latest Supreme Court verdicts and to enhance their knowledge, said Principal District and Sessions Judge P.G.M. Patil.

Speaking during the launch of the works of Mysuru Bar Association’s extended building at the Mysuru Law Court’s premises on Krishnaraja Boulevard here yesterday, he said that in the recent past, the use of internet has increased rapidly as the information is available with just a click of a button.

MLA Vasu, who laid the foundation stone, said that it was the first time that he had released funds from his Local Area Development fund for the construction of Bar Association building.

He also advised the Association to approach MLCs for more funds for the construction of the building.

Stating that tax payers’ money should be utilised scientifically, MLA Vasu said that it was important for every politician to work for the benefit of the people.

Vasu also called upon advocates to contribute towards the beautification of the city stating that advocates should advice people not to use flexes and banners which affects the beauty of the city.

Mysuru Bar Association President G.V. Ramamurthy, Vice-President H.B. Prabhu, Secretary K.B. Suresha, Mysuru Nirmithi Kendra Project Director M.T. Manjunath were present.
