Advocates stage protest

July 23, 2024

Mysore/Mysuru: Strongly condemning the action of a Civil Judge at Badami in Bagalkot, who ordered the detention of an advocate for a silly reason, Mysuru city advocates voluntarily boycotted the court proceedings and staged a demonstration in front of the District Courts Complex on Krishnaraja Boulevard here yesterday.

Maintaining that it was wrong on the part of Badami Civil Judge to have detained an advocate for 4 hours in the Court for the reason that his client did not appear in the court in time, the advocates registered their protest by boycotting the court proceedings and raising slogans condemning the unjustified detention of the advocate. Mysore Bar Association President S. Lokesh, office-bearers Sudhir, Chandrashekar, Charanraj, Bharath and others took part.
