Mysore/Mysuru: The Annual General Body Meeting (AGM) of Dwaraka Nagar Residents Welfare Association was held at Panchavati Park in Dwaraka Nagar, Sathagalli ‘B’ Zone MUDA Layout, on Nov. 22.
Association President (Commander (Retd.) S. Mahendra Singh inaugurated the programme.
On the occasion, giving significance to the name ‘Panchavati,’ five saplings (Banyan, Peepal, Fig, Bilwa and Amla) were planted by the ladies at the park.
Achievements of the Association with 15 new Board of Directors, projects in hand and other developmental activities undertaken were the highlights of the AGM.
Association Secretary Unnikrishna anchored the programme. Krishnamurthy, Rajarathna, S.A. Devaiah, Nataraja and Sunil spoke about various activities undertaken by the Association. Association Treasurer Shantharaju presented the income and expenditure details of the Association.
Dr. R.J. Shobha, one of the residents, had announced prizes to students, who excelled in 10th and 12th Board exams and two students — Himasree and V. Prajwal — were presented prizes and given appreciation certificates on the occasion.
The Association President spoke about various projects at hand such as construction of arches, installation of play equipment for children and concrete benches for senior citizens, pruning of tree branches and removal of overgrown weeds and bushes.
The meeting also condoled the death of C. Rangaswamy, one among the Board of Directors, who passed away recently.
