208 MBBS graduates receive Graduation Certificates at JSS-AHER; 12 Gold Medals, 11 cash prizes distributed
Mysuru: In all, 208 MBBS graduates received their graduation certificates at Graduates Reception, organised by JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research (JSS-AHER) at JSS Medical College, Shivarathreeshwara Nagar in the city recently.
Dr. Achal Gulati, Vice-Chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi Medical Sciences and Technology University, Jaipur, who distributed degree certificates to the students said, “Artificial Intelligence (AI) is beneficial only for collating information and research works, but it cannot be an alternative for doctors who are imbibed with humanitarian values.”
“The MBBS graduates have just been initiated into the first chapter of medical field. Learning is a continuous process in life and the doctors should develop the habit of learning and the courage to face the challenges. In this competitive world, those possessed with skills get priority and one should focus in this regard. Be grateful to your parents, guardians, teachers and institutions for making you a doctor and work towards building a healthy country,” advised Dr. Gulati.
Time doesn’t wait for anybody, hence time management assumes significance. We should adapt to new systems and methods. Most importantly, the training before hand is essential, especially in this digital era. Apart from meeting the target, the focus should be on maintaining the community health too, along with individual well-being, he said.
Gold medallists
A total of 12 Gold Medals and 11 cash prizes were distributed to the meritorious graduates— Dr. Nimisha Sinha from Patna in Bihar topped the list of Gold Medal winners, by securing 6 gold medals and 3 cash prizes, followed by Dr. Isha Kumtekhar of Maharashtra, 2 gold medals and 4 cash prizes, Dr. Udisha Arya, Uttar Pradesh, 2 gold medals and 2 cash prizes, Dr. R. Keerthana, Kerala, 1 gold medal and 1 cash prize, Dr. Vaishnavi Bharadwaj, Uttar Pradesh, 1 gold medal and Dr. Shrishti Kishore, Delhi, 1 cash prize. Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji graced the ceremony.
Executive Secretary of JSS Mahavidyapeetha Dr. C.G. Betsurmath, Pro-Chancellor of JSS AHER Dr. B. Suresh, Vice-Chancellor of JSS AHER Dr. H. Basavanagowdappa, Registrar Dr. B. Manjunatha, Principal of JSS Medical College Dr. D. Narayanappa, Vice-Principal Dr. M.N. Suma, Dr. Praveen Kulkarni, Dr. M. Mahanthappa and Administrative Officer S.R.
