Mysuru, Oct.11 (GA&DM)- Strongly condemning the brutal rape and murder of a 10-year old girl of Kalaburagi in city, the AIDSO (All India Democratic Students Organisation) and AIMSS (All India Mahila Samskrutika Sanghatan) staged a joint demonstration near the old Deputy Commissioner’s Office here this morning.

Addressing the protestors, AIMSS District Vice-President Seema said, “Mysuru has just celebrated Dasara by worshipping women as God. But at the same time, it is distressing that a 10-year-old girl, who had come from far away Kalaburagi to Mysuru to sell balloons during Dasara for livelihood, has been brutally raped and killed in this city, which is ironical.”

“The entire Mysuru city is shocked by the ghastly incident,” she said and demanded maximum punishment for the culprit who carried out the heinous crime.

Members of the KRRS (Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha) too joined the protest.

AIDSO District Secretary Nithin, farmer leader Marankaiah, social activist Ugranarasimhegowda and others were present.
