AIDYO launches one crore signature campaign on unemployment issue

Mysuru: ‘Every year the number of unemployed people is going up drastically in the State with none of the Governments taking proper steps and only giving false assurances during election time,’ alleged M. Umadevi, State President, All India Democratic Youth Organisation (AIDYO).

She was speaking after launching a one crore signature campaign on a list of demands which included filling of vacant posts naming employment as a fundamental right, cancellation of contract system and unemployment allowance.

Umadevi regretted that vacant posts in Government were not being filled up despite huge unemployment. She contended that the signature campaign was aimed to draw the attention of the Union Government.

She alleged that political parties were giving false assurances on employment just to lure the voters. She regretted that lakhs of educated youth were left  unemployed.

AIDYO District President Harish, Secretary Sunil and others were present.
