AIISH Faculty for World Summit at Cambridge University

Mysuru: Dr. Ajish K. Abraham, Professor and HoD – Electronics, All India Institute of Speech and Hearing (AIISH), Mysuru, has been invited to present a paper at the World Summit on Advances in Sciences, Engineering and Technology – Cambridge Summit 2018. The summit will be held at Murray Edwards College, University of Cambridge, UK, from Jan. 4 to 6.

Dr. Ajish’s research paper identifies the factors influencing the closeness of recorded speech samples to original speech. Speech, speaker and language recognition systems as well as diagnostic systems for assessment of speech disorders operate on recorded speech samples to accomplish their objectives. The efficacy of these systems depends heavily on how close the recorded speech is to original speech. The degree of closeness depends on a combination of factors associated with the hardware and software systems involved in the recording process.

Cambridge Summit 2018 on ‘Advances in Science, Engineering and Technology’ is a platform for defining, introducing, and presenting novel methodologies for responsibly addressing the pressing contemporary Science Engineering and Technology (SET) problems. This summit aims at constituting a committee for precisely formulating and categorising challenging SET problems to be solved by 2025.
