AIISH Phone-in Programme on ‘Stuttering’ tomorrow

All India Institute of Speech and Hearing (AIISH), Mysuru, has organised a Facebook live Phone-in Programme tomorrow (Oct. 22) between 2 pm and  3 pm on the topic “Know more about ST..  ST..Stuttering.”

Stuttering, also known as stammering, is a speech problem where an individual repeats or prolongs speech sounds. It is a developmental speech problem, which usually appears in children between 2 and 6 years.

The overall incidence of stuttering is about 1%, but in the preschool and school population, it is around 4%. The individuals with stuttering face different challenges in their daily life. This live phone-in programme will focus on creating awareness specifically focusing on its nature, causes, myths, facts and management of stuttering.
