Mysuru: If things go as per plans, Mysureans and visitors to Mysuru might get to witness the famous Air Force Band perform during this year’s Dasara.
The District Administration had sent a requisition to Air Force to allow the band to take part in the celebrations. Air Commodore Jose, accompanied by Wg. Cdr. Roshan held a meeting with Deputy Commissioner D. Randeep at the Mysore Palace Board office this morning to discuss the feasibility of the band taking part in this year’s procession.
The officials visited Bannimantap Grounds to check if the band could perform during Torchlight Parade on Sept. 30. Randeep also explained about the arrangements to be made at the Palace as well as Bannimantap Grounds. However, Air Commodore Jose is said to have informed the DC that an official communication with respect to the participation of Air Force Band would be sent in a couple of days.
Earlier, Jose was welcomed by Palace Board Deputy Director T.S. Subramanya with a shawl and Mysuru peta. Palace Security ACP Shylendra and other officials were present.
