Madikeri: Air Marshal Nagesh Kapoor, head of the Indian Air Force Training Division in Bengaluru, recently visited General K.S. Thimayya Museum at Madikeri.
During his visit, he gathered comprehensive information about the memorial, as well as General Thimayya’s birthplace, Sunnyside, where he learned more about the brave officer’s military life.
Speaking at the event, Air Marshal Kapoor described his visit to the museum, which showcases detailed accounts of India’s hero, as a rare and meaningful experience. He emphasised that General Thimayya’s life and service should inspire the younger generation.
The manager of the memorial hall, Subedar Major Gowdanda Thimmaiah, also provided detailed insights into the museum’s exhibits to Air Marshal Kapoor.
Other attendees included Deputy Director of the Kannada and Culture Department Kumar, Sainik Welfare Board Officer B.R. Shetty, and staff members of the General Thimayya Memorial Hall P.R. Mohan, Ramya Machaiah, and Subhash.
