Mysuru lad G. Manish, a student of Sapient PU College and a product of the Mysore Tennis Club (MTC), taking part in the AITA National ranking men’s tennis tourney at Bowring Institute Club, Bengaluru, won his final qualifying round men’s singles match and entered the main draw of the tournament proper on Sunday.
In the final qualifying round, Manish beat Ashwin Bhat 7-5, 6-2 to enter the main draw. In the third round, Manish beat Surya Reddy 9-2 and in the second round beat Roopesh 9-2 to progress further.
