Akhila Bharatiya Sahitya Parishat meet at Ujire on Jan. 8, 9

The two-day State-level meet of Akhila Bharatiya Sahitya Parishat will take place at Ujire near Dharmasthala in Dakshina Kannada District on Jan. 8 and 9, 2022. Announcing this at a press meet here on Sunday, Invitation Committee General Secretary Raghunandan Bhat said that the meet will take place at Sri Krishnanugraha Sabhabhavan near Janardhana Temple at Ujire.

Pointing out that the meet has the theme ‘Nudi Samrajyadalli Swarajya,’ Bhat said the two-day meet features release of books, sessions, kavi ghostis, cultural programmes, book expo etc.  Stating that more than 2,000 literary enthusiasts are expected to take part in the meet,  he said that Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Dr. Veerendra Heggade will inaugurate the meet at 10.30 am on Jan. 8.  Parishat State Vice-President Hariprakash Konemane will deliver the keynote address, while litterateur Dr. Na. Mogasale will preside.

The valedictory will take place at 2.30 pm on Jan. 9. Akashavani staff Diwakar Hegde will deliver the valedictory address in the presence of the Parishat State President Prof. Premashekar.  Parishat’s Mysuru Division Secretary Srinath, Treasurer Subramanya, Raghu Shetty and others were present.
