‘All India Student-Young Professionals-Women in Engineering’ event held

Mysuru:  Vidya Vikas Institute of Engineering and Technology (VVIET) had organised a three-day event for the All India Student-Young Professionals-Women in Engineering Congress in collaboration with IEEE Student Council recently.

A wide platform with more than 450 delegates, including professionals, entrepreneurs and visionaries across the globe actively participated in the event.

Dr. M. Annadurai, Scientist, ISRO, who was the chief guest, spoke about understanding the difference between expectations, assumptions and realities in today’s world. He also shared the success story of India’s space mission (Chandrayana-I).

Justice N. Kumar, guest of honour, interacted with audience on the mental competence for self and national development and also shared his views on the subject, ‘Knowledge is power and wealth.’

Dr. Sudeendra Koushik, Chairman, IEEE Bangalore Section, Daniel Lottis, Principal Engineer, IEEE were keynote speakers.

Kaveesh Gowda, Secretary, VVIET presided. Dr. Bindu A. Thomas, Chair of the Local organising Committee, proposed a vote of thanks.

The inauguration  was followed by discussions, workshops and ‘Hands on Sessions’ in Student Track, Young Professional Track, Women in Engineering Track and Branch Councillor Track.
