The Mysore Chess Club, under the aegis of the United Karnataka Chess Association and the All India Chess Federation, will be conducting the All India U-15 FIDE Rated Open Chess Tournament-2018, from Nov.21 to 25 at the University Gymnasium Hall in city.

The event carries a total cash prize of Rs.2,50,000. Five trophies each will be given in the U-13, U-11, U-9 and U-7 (boys & girls) sections. Best youngest players (U-6) boys and girls will be given five trophies each.

The winner of the Tournament will take home a cash prize of Rs.40,000 while the runner-up and third prize winners will take home a cash prize of Rs.25,000 & Rs.15,000 respectively.

The top 30 players in the open section will get cash prizes. Five cash prizes will be given in the following categories: Rating below 2,000, below 1,800, below 1,600, below 1,400 and below 1,200. Entry fee: Rs.1,250. Last date for registration is Nov.15. Last date with late fee of Rs.250 is Nov.19. Players born on or after 1.1.2003 are eligible to participate.
