Mysuru: In a setback to former Gokulam Corporator Girish Prasad, a city Court has rejected the ‘B Report’ submitted by the V.V. Puram Police in connection with the alleged death threat made by the ex-Corporator.
Chikkanarasegowda, a resident of Gokulam Third Stage, is the complainant in the case. Accusing Girish Prasad, who was then the Corporator of Ward.31 (Gokulam), of threatening him with death when he (Gowda) was sitting at a tea stall in Gokulam Third stage on the evening of July 27, 2017, Chikkanarasegowda registered a private complaint against Girish Prasad and his associates Ashok, Jayanna and Tejas, at a city Court. Later, following directions from the Court, the jurisdictional V.V.Puram Police registered a case against Girish Prasad and his associates named in the complaint, on Oct. 20, 2017 under Sections 506, 34, 504 and 323 of IPC.
The Police who conducted investigation, submitted the ‘B Report’ to the Court, mentioning that only a wordy dual broke out between the complainant and the accused and there was no evidence of any death threat posed by the Corporator as alleged by the complainant.
The Fourth Additional JMFC Court which examined the ‘B Report’, rejected the report and directed the V.V.Puram Police to submit authenticated statements of the complainant and all the witnesses in the case.
